The piece
The glaze is brushed on in broad strokes and left to run: in the kiln the blues and greens blend on their own and no two fish come out alike.
The base is a disc of reclaimed wood with a metal pin holding the fish in balance. A piece for a shelf or a counter.

How to care for it
Wash by handWarm water and mild soap. No dishwasher: hand-mixed glazes don’t take hot cycles.

Mind the edgesGlaze and tesserae chip if knocked. A felt pad under the base prevents scratches.
